"I just made my first cold process confetti soap using this fragrance oil. I figured it would go well with a birthday cake theme considering it turns a tan-brownish color. It's hard to find designs with these scent notes that allow for the brown so hopefully this is a hit with customers. And by the way, it smells good enough to eat. I can't wait til this one cures!"

How does this behave in sugar scrub? Will it turn brown?
Yes, a fragrance oil containing vanillin can potentially turn a sugar scrub brown over time,
Can this be used for a candle? Is it alcohol free? If this can be used for a candle, what would you recommend for the usage rate and at what temperature should I add this to melted wax? Thank you!
This fragrance can be used for candles, but we recommend testing for performance. It is alcohol-free. You will need to check with your wax manufacturer to determine how much fragrance the wax can hold and at what temperature you should pour at.
What is the shelf life of the fragrance oil?
All our products are best used within one year. Since fragrances are synthetic, they do have a longer shelf life. They may weaken slightly over time and lose their top notes, but they are fine to use.
Does the chemical smell in this go away? Ordered 2oz and nervous to try it because it has a odd chemical smell.
We do not feel this fragrance has a chemical smell. When fragrances are smelled straight from the bottle, they are very concentrated and can sometimes smell a bit off. We always recommend using the fragrance in a product to get the true scent.
do I use the whole 4oz bottle of fragrance oil when using a gallon of silk body butter?
It would depend on the strength of the fragrance you prefer. This fragrance is skin safe up to 7.8% in lotions and the Silky Body Butter only allows up to 4% fragrance according to the IFRA guidelines. Adding 4 ounces to 1 gallon is about 3% fragrance.
