This is our Crafter's Choice Basic Clear Melt & Pour Soap Base offered at 49% off for fast closeout. Soap bases primarily contain a small amount of foam-boosting additives that produce a big bubble, creamy lather. This lot performs identically to our standard base — it melts, fragrances, colors, and lathers as expected.

Why off-spec: This base falls outside our standard clarity specification. Blocks are cloudy rather than clear, and some may have a yellow tint. Both appearances can be present within the same order. These are cosmetic variations only and do not affect performance.

Best suited for: Opaque, colored, or heavily additized soap projects where base clarity is not a finished product requirement. Not recommended for applications where a crystal-clear base is essential to the design.

Directions

MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.

MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.

ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.
