Details

This is our Crafter's Choice Basic Clear Melt & Pour Soap Base offered at 49% off for fast closeout. Soap bases primarily contain a small amount of foam-boosting additives that produce a big bubble, creamy lather. This lot performs identically to our standard base — it melts, fragrances, colors, and lathers as expected.

Why off-spec: This base falls outside our standard clarity specification. Blocks are cloudy rather than clear, and some may have a yellow tint. Both appearances can be present within the same order. These are cosmetic variations only and do not affect performance.

Best suited for: Opaque, colored, or heavily additized soap projects where base clarity is not a finished product requirement. Not recommended for applications where a crystal-clear base is essential to the design.

Available while supplies last — no restock planned.

Directions

MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.

MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.

ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

Warning

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Use caution when melting—hot soap may cause burns. Keep out of reach of children. Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight.

Reviews

At first..

"I was hesitant simply because I had never purchased any m&p soaps by Crafters Choice. Thank goodness I did. QUALITY & PRICE. Just Buy some! Actually a great company!"

— PETER C. (5/5)

Makes great soaps

"This glycerin base works just fine for my melt and pour soaps with essential oils that I sell. They lather and hydrate well. I do find when placed in soap saver bag they lather even more. Maybe it’s due to the friction. I gotten 4 boxes so far and customers pleased with results."

— Anabel C. (5/5)

Basic clear MP soap

"Great product, excellent price. Performs well. Not as sudsy as others but it could be that everyone's fragrance oils are much weaker so I use a bit more."

— Melissa E. (5/5)

Love the soap. Only concern

"Love the soap. Only concern is cutting up a 23 lb block that I did not account for. Otherwise perfect for my products"

— Rhonda S. (5/5)

Very useful to me. It fits my projects well. This is the only soap base that is reasonably priced anymore

"Good soap base if you are adding color to it. Not ideal for transparent with embeds"

— Rajai K. (5/5)

23 lb of Glycerin

"I love the deal when I purchased this product. It was discounted because of possible color in it. It was supposed to be clear. It is just fine. I am so happy. Thank for this wonderful purchase. Time to get busy for Christmas gifts!"

— Tammy D. (5/5)

Works just fine for me

"This is an off-spec batch, but that's OK. It will work just fine for the soaps that I will be making. Once the color and scent is added, they will look great. Thanks for the savings."

— Carolyn K. (5/5)

Perfect for my use

"I don’t need a real clear base for when I make dark colors. This isn’t that colored or cloudy. What I’m loving is THE PRICE and it’s the same ingredients as the regular clear."

— Susan F. (5/5)
