Love this!

"Just added to my line and people are really liking them."

?????????? Unique, Creamy, and Surprisingly Elegan

"An unexpected but very pleasant combination. The chocolate note is smooth and creamy, not artificial, and the lavender keeps it balanced and sophisticated. Works well in specialty soaps and candles. Definitely a standout fragrance for customers looking for something different."

Smell wonderful

"I made holiday soap with this fragrance oil today, it smells really good. But my batch got thick really fast, like within 30 seconds from pouring the lye water in, I had to pour the soap to the loaf mold real quick. For that I only give 4 stars. Hopefully the scent stays after cure."

Lovely Fragrance

"This is a really nice fragrance for lotions. My goat milk and honey lotion sells well with this fragrance oil"

Wonderful For Every Season

"This smells so good. Its perfect all year round! I love the smell of sage with bottom hints of jasmine. It has a great citrus smell that is perfect."

Jennifer (5/5)

The best butter

"I swapped out the fragrance. My final product came out exactly like the body butters Victoria's Secret used to sell. Amazing!"

Jocelyn (5/5)

Cute lil bee soaps

"Cute, moisturizing, no lingering scent"

Wonderful flavor

"Love the flavor!"

Pleasantly Surprised. . .

"I usually make conditioner from scratch so when I saw this it was exciting. A premix that is really that simple? Yes, it is. Lovely conditioner that is very customizable."

Heather (5/5)

Great Scrub!

"Wonderful scrub! Not too harsh but still exfoliating. I use it myself and I love it. The butter and oils leave the skin feel smooth and silk. I didn't use the mica included in the kit, mostly because I forgot, but the lemon EO makes the scrub a gentle yellow, so if you don't want to add color you'll be fine."

Q&A

Hi, I came to get the kit from the recipe, but I am confused about recipe saying in the label: Carbomer, Triethanolamine, etc. which are not part of the kit. Am I missing something? Thanks.“Ingredient Label: Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Macadamia Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Fragrance, Argan Oil, Vitamin E.”
Those are ingredients in the Aloe Vera Gel, which is used in the recipe.
What is the shelf life for this product?
If kept in a cool area, this butter balm will be good for at least one year from production.
With the addition of Aloe Vera Gel how does it emulsify with the oils and butters without adding an actual emulsifier? I would think this would definitely need a broad spectrum preservative since it has the addition of a water soluble product. I know this doesn't sound like a question but after say 3-4 weeks, how is this particular recipe not separating? Wouldn't adding Aloe Vera powder or Aloe oil/extract be a better option?
We have never had an issue with this separating. The amount of aloe vera gel is not enough to cause separation. It blends in very nicely with the other ingredients. The aloe vera gel also has added preservatives.
I am in the process of putting this together and I was wondering after I whip it tomorrow should I refrigerate until I go to the sales? Will it hold okay in 70 degree weather or should I have a cooler and ice ready to go? Thanks!
It should be fine in 70°F but you might want to put in a cooler if the temperatures get any higher than that.
Could you check this recipe for accuracy? My product is a cloudy liquid. In reading the reviews, it seems that others have had a similar problem. Is there anything I can add to help it whip as shown in picture?
We have had no issues when making this recipe. It sounds like possibly the product was not left to set overnight which would have helped the product thicken up - we had one review saying the product got too hard but do not see anyone with a cloudy liquid. Please contact our office so we can help you further with this problem. Thank you.
