This Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap Base is a detergent free base that is an opaque light tan color with real oatmeal flecks. It produces a creamy bubble lather. Contains real oatmeal, which is thought to moisturize and relieve itching. Packaged in a foil‑lined, corrugated box to maintain freshness and performance. Makes (40) 4 oz soap bars.

Details

Cut soap base into small pieces, and melt in the microwave at 30-second intervals (or use a double boiler), stirring until fully liquefied. Once melted, add cosmetic color, fragrance, and other skin-safe additives—this base can hold up to 5% total additives—then pour the mixture into a Crafter’s Choice mold and spritz the surface with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles. Allow the soap to cool completely before unmolding, then wrap it in airtight plastic wrap to preserve freshness. Melted soap is hot and should be used with caution; recommended for ages 15 and older.

Is this vegan? Is this cruelty free? Is this all natural? Is this organic?: This product is considered to be vegan and cruelty-free. Because all MP soap bases use lye, they can not be considered all-natural or organic; however, all of our detergent free bases are considered to be 'true soap'.
Does this base have Palm in it? It is on the front page but not listed in the ingredients: Yes, the stearic acid used in our soap is palm-based.
Is this soap base vegan?: We recommend researching each ingredient to make your own decision but we do feel this base can be considered vegan.
Hi all! I am new to melt and pour soaps so this may seem like am dumb question to you. But...regarding your packaging...the 2 pound soap packaging is awesome as it has the grids on the bottom of the package (and thus the soap mold too) denoting each ounce. So easy to use! Does the 10 lb. Soap also have this...or is it just a block of soap I would have to measure myself by weighing? Thanks!: We are so glad you love our new 2 lb. packaging for our MP soap bases. The 10 lb. block does not have these grid lines but is one block of soap that would need to be cut and weighed just as you thought.
does this base hace colloidal oatmeal in it or actual oats?: The soap contains both colloidal and oat protein.
